Circlet ~ Abstract

Designed after the medieval Circlet women used to wear, this golden Abstract was created to delight the eye. I used Apo with my previous MA, with a few number adjustments and additions.

Turkish Rug ~ Abstract

Following my fabric theme, I created another Julian which is a slight variation of my last. A design you might see in a fine Turkish Rug.

Tabby on Sofa WIP 10

The first and second layers of color are finally done on the Sofa. Now I just have to decide to antique the sofa or leave it bright like it is.
I am still working on the first of the inner stripes and just about to the last part of the Tabby's back leg.
Started adding some very light shading washes to her belly, back leg and the toy she is laying next too.
As I work on the light areas , so I do not get muddy washes, I normally remove my pencil marks before I start to paint. So it requires me to remember the contours of her body.

Another close up to show some of the detail that has been applied so far. Can see the first wash of color of the toy on the bottom of the photo and have applied a very light wash on the white parts of her face. Most white you see, isn't just plain white...but varying shades of this color.
Then there is the first inking of the inner stripes, there are millions of them.
This Close up will also show you why it takes so long for me to do these paintings.

Fantastic ~ Abstract

Sections of sky and clouds ribbon ed out like a Fan, using AP2.09 and my Mathematical algorithms.

Tabby on Sofa WIP 9

I am almost done with the back of the Sofa, just a little to do on the right hand edge. So I have started on the first layering of ink with the inner stripes on the Tabby's coat. You can see a bit of the high detail in the close up photo.
Once I have the first layer of ink in these area's done, I will go back and do about 3 more and then add washes of color where needed.

Golden Medallion ~ Abstract

Working off my previous fractal algorithms, I have created this piece I call, Golden Medallion. Little off center, not quite perfect, like a medallion or coin would be when found with sunken treasure.

Thatched Barn of Old ~ An older Painting.

I have decided to post a few of my older pieces of Art and this is one of them.
Have always dreamed of having a nice barn for my animals and I to enjoy. I love Thatched roofs. In my many doodles of barns that I have done, I came up with this one. My Dream Barn.
This is a Pen and Ink with a watercolor pencil wash done in 2007.

Playing with Paintings

I have been playing with a few of my paintings, as I did not like the coloring or what not.
Came up with this and I personally like this one better this way.

Pirouette ~ Abstract

Here is something wild and fun, spinning over and over upon itself, like a whirl of feathers.

Playing with Photographs again

Have been playing with some of my photographs again. Here are the results.

Looking at this one large on my screen,, I like it. But small size... not so much.

Very dark storm clouds in the background, a spotlight of sunshine on the next hills over and shades of dark near me and the trees near my house.

A bright rainbow shinning despite the dark and stormy sky, almost like it is growing out of the trees.

Julian ~ Almost

I have been working very hard to master a Grand Julian... using the same base as my previous fractals of this type of design, using my own Math Algorithms. Am sort'a getting there but not where I want to be quite yet. So everyone gets to see my trials. VBG
This piece truely looks better when seen Big!
Right now I am just calling it a Julian but sure would not mind folks giving me ideas on a name!

Persia ~ Abstract

This beauty was created by using my own Math Algorithms with AP3D. The Deep blues embellished with gold, helped give me this Art work it’s name. Best seen large to see all the colorful detail.

Tabby on Sofa ~ WIP 7

Still working on the Sofa, not only adding the first color in places, but going back over other area's already started to add some definition. Also worked in the Tabby's nose and inner ears just a little bit.

Close up of the end of the sofa and the Tabby's head.
Lighting hasn't been the greatest, hence the slightly fuzzy photos.

Woven Tapestry ~ Abstract

Render of, 5 days, 2 hours and 56 minutes is what it took to get this level of detail.
Adding to that.. the power outage and the computer that black screened, making me start the render over mid way, twice. Thank goodness I save my parameters.

A close up of this creation.

Tabby on Sofa ~ WIP 6

Still working on the sofa. The amount of color on the thing is staggering. Normally I get the first layer of color on, then go back and do more detail. However, I wanted to work on the front of the sofa a little more, where the piping is tucked in, to add more definition.

Sea Star ~ Abstract

My computer took two full days non stop to render this creation of mine. It is based on the last fractal I did, with some added numbers and adjustments. In the close up shot you can see the extensive detail. At a distance I think it looks something like an Abstract Sea Star but close up, looks like woven fabric.

This is one creation that would really look best large.
Below is another close up, this time with a tonal change. Looks more Holiday like this way.

Fishscales, Fabric or ? ~ Abstract

A Close up of this Abstract.

I based this fractal abstract off some of my previous works, using my own mathematical algorithms.
Close up my DH thinks it looks like a Synthetic Harvest.
Me.. I am thinking on the lines of fish scales or woven fabric.
What do you think?

Cartoon Cat ~ Herald, who loves Cat Nip

When my DS was very small I used to make cartoons for him. I have thought for years to make him a book but I never had time.
Today, the first time in many years I have created one of my cartoons.
This is "Herald" a very fat Blue Russian/Persian Cat cross, that is addicted to cat nip in a bad way. LOL

I will be offering "Herald" at my online shops.
You can email me for special orders to have the book lettering personalized to what ever name or sayings you would like.
These special orders will take 6 to 8 weeks so order early.

Tabby on Sofa ~ WIP 5

The Blue Blanket is finally starting to take shape and looking more the way I would like it to be. However, it still needs about 5 more layers of color to arrive at the final results.
Decided to wait on working with the Tabby cat itself, for now and work on the background instead.
I have just started to put the first layer of color on the Sofa. Would like to apply two layers of color on the Sofa before I start working on the Pen and Ink Cat again. This helps me keep the perspective on how I need the Cat to look.

A slightly blurry close up of the end of the Sofa.

Playing with Photoshop

Have been playing with photoshop again and melding. Am thinking Icelandic and Main coon would look good in a winter scene too. Maybe as a holiday card.
But for now.. happy Icelandic and Cat during the Autumn, part of the FairyTale series.

Closeup of one area.

I took this photograph the other day, I like it but it came out ah.. well different. So I went ahead and played with it a bit to make it look more like a painting. What do you all think?

Playing with the Evolt 510 camera ~ Icelandic horse, Cat and landscapes

Today I was going to go for a ride on my Icelandic Mare Dyfra, on my small farm in NW Oregon. However, Nari the fixed Maincoon that we brought home from the local shelter over a year ago had different ideas. And I just had to take photos.
Nari thought nothing was warmer than soft Icelandic horse fur under her paws, so she made herself at home. You can see how content she is laying on my Icelandic mare's back.
There will be two photos in this set.

I enjoyed the woodland we have here on the farm during my ride, I had DH come out with me so I could take some photos.
Now more problems with the Evolt 510 sadly. Still stuck on Auto, manual no longer works and Olympus knows the issues. Has been in their shop once already. Sigh ~~ Anyway.. trying to take photos that this camera can still handle.
Maybe some day I will be able to afford a real camera like a Nikon D300.

Celtic Rings ~ Abstract

Seems I am working on another theme and this time it came out as Celtic Rings. VBG
I used AP2.09 and again using my own mathematical algorithms.
