Tabby on Sofa ~ WIP

I have been spending the last couple of days roughly penciling in my Tabby Cat on the Sofa. Because this is so detailed, I mark the where the black or dark areas are with an X and I will also use the first letter of what color an area is going to be, so I don't forget later on. Believe me, you get this detailed and it can be hard to remember.
This painting will be done with my Pen and Ink and will add a watercolor pencil wash to make things stand out.

Here is a close up of what I have done so far. I have started on the first layer of ink on and around her face and put the first layer of color on her eyes and nose.

I will end up doing at least 3 layers of ink on the stripes of her coat and with as many stripes as she has, it will take time.

Abstract in Oils ~ Work in Progress

Photo is a little washed out but it gives you an idea on what this waterbased Oil is starting to look like. The wee shadow to the right is a leaf of one of my real Japanese Maples.
Just going with the flow and looks like I am doing is some what.... Abstract.. with Japanese Maples leaves. I need to wait until this layer drys before I start on the next.

Spanish Dancer ~Abstract

This is one I have been working on for awhile. It is a combo of my Garland of Plenty and my Galaxy abstracts and I decided to call this one, Spanish Dancer. Hope you enjoy it.

Latest Abstract Fractal creation

Decided to take my circles and reflections and do some computer generated finger painting because...well... that was the mood I was in. I used AP 2.9 using my own mathematical algorithms.
However... I not sure what I should name this one. Any ideas?

Icelandic Horse painting is finished

I finally decided that this painting is finished, as I did not want to over work it. The Icelandic mare in the painting is based on my Grey Icelandic mare when she was younger. I tried to keep the ground simple as I wanted the horse to stand out. I have a problem with making things too detailed.
This painting is 99.9% Watercolor pencil, used like you would Watercolor cakes. The paper is my favorite bright white hot press paper and the size is 14" by 20".

Curious

This is a closeup of a Black Icelandic horse I took in SW Washington last weekend.
I like the inside of this horse’s eye, the shapes and colors.

Garland of Plenty ~ Abstract

Was thinking of a Flower Garland and this is what I came up with using AP2.9 with my own mathematical algorithms.
Not sure if I like AP2.9, bit different than the other versions.

Creation of Worlds ~

Last night I was tired of doing Holiday cards so I decided to play with the Bryce program again and this is what I came up with. Was playing with the depth, light and shadows.

Falling into the Void and Drifting Away

This free 3D program is new to me and I want to Thank Syd for letting me know about it. I have been playing with some circles... planets if you will, to make a Stylized abstract creation called, Falling into the Void. I am not sure if I am going to offer it for sale on my online shops or not? Let me know what you think!

This next peace I have called "Drifting Away". These creations are fairly small and the resolution is not as high as I would want but it is a good learning curve. Keep pushing buttons until I get what I want. LOL

Icelandic Horse painting WIP ~10

Worked on the dirt a little more, pushed the big rock more into the background and have added two layers of color on the main part of the Icelandic's legs.

Here is a close up of what I have gotten done so far. Couple more layers of color on the body to go and then I need to work on the mane and tail.
Was hoping to get this done this weekend but I don't think I will be able too. I don't have a blow dryer, so I have to let the watercolor pencil dry the traditional way.

Agglomeration ~ Abstract

With this creation, I used similar numbers from my own mathematical algorithms, that I used in the last Galaxy Abstract. But this time I used a little twist and designed a fun and colorful fantasy of young galaxies beginning to spin out on their own.

Icelandic Horse painting WIP ~10

As you can see, I am slowly making progress. Have added more layers to the dapples and shading to the body of the Icelandic. I have also started to work on her head, mane and tail.

This is a closeup of the dapples. She will be a medium dark dappled Icelandic mare. I have some under shading on her tail but it is very hard to pick it out with this camera shot.
I still need to work on her face more, work on her mane and tail and do her black stockings on her lower legs. Plus some fine tuning with the body coloring.

Interweave ~ Abstract

I was trying more for a 3D repeating pattern abstract creation with some depth and I think this fits what I was looking for. Almost looks like a close of up of a knitted piece of fabric. Best seen large. I used AP3 using my mathematical algorithms.
