Above is the first layer of color on Pooka. Pooka is Robin's beautiful Miniature Horse stallion.
Christmas eve, I was able to work on Robin's Pooka a bit. Second layer of color on his body and worked on his eye a bit. Hard to see because of the glare from the camera. Am trying something new, so not sure it will turn out the way I want. Water based Oils on Hot press paper.
Here is a close up on his face.... Still a lot more to do.
Playing cards I ordered, came in a few days ago. I bought them to check on the print Quality and to test them long term. I can say the Print quality is excellent. The family has been playing cribbage with these cards for the last few evenings. They are the perfect thickness and the card stock is excellent. Will keep you up to date on how they are holding up, over the next month. These cards are made in the USA by the Bicycle company,,, also printed in the USA.
I am having issues with my Cat on the Art desk painting, so I have put that aside for now, so I can think. In the mean time, I have started on Pooka, Robin's beautiful miniature horse. Penciled him in and now adding a halo type background, little under half way done with the halo.
I used the last of my Brecknock Hill Cheviot fleece, from when I used to raise them, to make this blend of Brecknock Hill and Llama yarn. I used Llama to add a bit of softness.
The yarn is a medium course, will be hard wearing. You could make a sweater or socks out of it.
This morning it is having it's, "setting" bath and as soon as it is dry, will weight it and get it up on my Esty Shop. Have a little more of this to ply up, so I will have two skeins to offer for sale, within the next week.

Of course, it being 71* yesterday, perfect for outside chores and horse rides.. I was in doing Art. LOL Worked on the pencils a little more and started working on the wood desk. Applied the watercolor pencil to paper before I added water this time. Not something I normally do. Seemed to work for the wood grain I was looking for.
These are just a few of the photographs I captured yesterday and have added to my Image Kind Gallery.
I should have these added to my other Galleries and online shops in the next week. If you are interested in different products with these photographs, please let me know. Would be more than happy to get them made up for you!
