Nobility ~ An Icelandic Horse Oil Painting

This painting is finally finished and dry enough to scan.
Tell you one thing, doesn't take really old oil paints 6 months to dry.
Another problem with Oil paints, is they are shinny and this makes it really hard to scan without some white glare, or bleed through.
Within the next couple of weeks I will have this piece available at most of my Online shops.

Water based Oil Icelandic Horse WIP 6

Pretty much finished with the last two legs. Still need to add the shadows and a bit of fine tuning, but very close to being done with this piece.
This is my Icelandic mare Dyfra, without her flea bites, in a fast Tolt.

Water based Oil Icelandic WIP5

Started working on the Icelandic's tail, worked on her legs a bit more, as I wasn't quite happy with them.
Still have the far legs to do and some shadowing on the ground.

Close up of Dyfra's head and the colors with this one are a little nearer to true.

Water Based Oil Icelandic Horse WIP 4

Worked on Dyfra's legs more and added her mane. Thought about adding her," flea spots" but decided against it, as at this point, I think they would look strange.

Water Based Oil Icelandic Horse WIP 3

A beautiful Sunday morning out, so I decided to work on my Icelandic Horse painting. Can't believe how much I am enjoying this.
Normally I give tips and ideas... However, right now the only thing I can say is... working with 14+ year old WB Oil does present some challenges and not having linseed oil to help smooth the blending...
I would recommend if you have old paint, replace it and make sure you have linseed oil available when you start.

Water based Oil Icelandic Horse WIP2

Adding more color, doing a lot of blending and you can see on the Icelandic's muzzle, I have a bit more blending to do.
Has been awhile since I worked in WB Oils, but I am enjoying it.

Here you can see the close up of this Icelandic's head.
The glare from the camera, has added shine and has blown out the piece quite a bit.
But it gives you an idea of where I am with this painting.

Water based Oil, Icelandic Horse painting WIP 1

Finally have my new Art Studio finished enough, I can start a painting.

This one will be a water based Oil painting of my Icelandic mare Dyfra and I spent time just doing a rough block this morning.
I did find out, some of the water based Oil supplies did not make the move very well, and before I can do any more work on this, I have to order some replacements.

Is nice to be painting again.

Golden Dandelion ~ Abstract

This is my first flower abstract, using some plugins and my own M.A. And I have called it, "Golden Dandelion". Created using 7x.

Two new Abstracts

Now that I have the new computer, I am able to work with and finish the pieces, I have been wanting to do for a long while.
The old computer would not work with plugins and/or the pieces I created, as the old computer did not have enough RAM or Harddrive to render.

The above is called, "Carnation Explosion".
Taking one of my older M.A.'s and with new Plugins, making some thing different.
To me it looks like a carnation exploding, but it could be anything, let your mind wonder. Created with 7x

This one is called, "Writhing".
Is more linear with rounded edges, movement swirling into itself.

My digital Art does vary widely, but that is the fun of this medium. To be able to go where your mind wonders.
