Native American Woven Basket ~ Abstract

It took awhile to figure out how to create an textured Native American Woven Basket in Abstract but after a few months I think I did it. Render time was a little over 35 hours.

Shogun Castle WIP

I have been a bit slow to start my next project. Was thinking of doing something little more simple this time but I decided to do a Shogun Castle based on the photo my DH took in Japan in 1980. Seems I can't do anything easy. ;O)
You can see a print out of the old photo above and me lightly penciling in the castle, so I know where to apply the first Ink.

I wanted to work on the sky first and was thinking of doing a soft sunset with the clouds radiating out from the Castle. Decided I did not like it... or maybe it might work, with some more shading added. Still not happy so I started over again. I rarely have this issue but for some reason, this time I do.

Its really hard to see the pencil lines of the Castle but I have started on a different sky, more simple. The photograph of the painting's color is a bit off due to the camera and the lighting in the house.

More to come ~

Pretty in Pink

I don't normally post photos taken with my very old simple Nikon 4300coolpx but this photograph came out pretty well.
This is my Icelandic mare Dyfra, after a good grooming, with her bright pink fly sheet on under an old Japanese flowering Cherry tree.

Dropping Balls ~ Abstract

Something a little more simple than my fabric textured Abstract, but I think just as fun.
Dropping Balls is a mesh of balls falling......

Challenge Winner in the All Oregon USA

This is the beautiful Sunset I captured last awhile back, on my NW Oregon Farm. Found these cloud formations very interesting, as it looks like someone used a palette knife to smooth the underside flat. Photo taken with my Evolt 510 camera.

This ART is a most voted for, Challenge Winner in the All Oregon USA Group April 2010

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone that voted for me!

String of Pearls ~ Abstract

Still working with textures but this time with a bit more flash and bling. String of Pearls is my latest creation, with enough shine and movement should delight the eye.

Diaphanous ~ Abstract

Unusual shapes, almost gossamer in feel, heart and flowers sprinkled about. Not sure I like it but it is a bit different.
