Finished an Impression

A total deviation from my normal Pen and Ink.

Decided to finish my "Impression of a Storm", basically just Artfully slapped some paint on the canvas.

Still wet so some glare to it.

Need to figure out where to put these until they fully dry.

Can enjoy abstract painting, do not have worry about the handicap with the broken thumb and other issues with my hands.

Use up the Acrylic paint I have decided I don't like much, because even though it is slow drying for acrylic, still to fast for what I want to do.

Think I will go back to waterbased oils in the future.

Practicing painting with Golden One acrylics

Decided this morning I was going to paint, the one or two chores could wait.

With watercolor I have a lot more maneuverability.

Still very new to the Golden one acrylic paint, does not dry as fast as other acrylics but it still dries faster than I like, even with adding water.
Makes me wonder if Bob Ross liquid clear would be compatible?
That would extend the ability to blend.

If you try to add paint when it is half dry all one does is pull paint off. That is something else to learn to deal with.

Figure I would practice and get a handle on controlling the paint the way I want too, before I tried to paint one of the photos that my wonderful friends said I can use. 😊

This is Artist licence practice painting... only about half way done and only base color on the big waves, still a lot more to do. Might blend the waves together to make one big one, not sure.
Have missed my Art more than I can say.

Masks for sale

Know I sound like a broken record but I have to get the word out.

Please feel free to share.

I meant to get the 8th batch of masks to the local Doctors office  but I ran out of steam.  Will have DH bring them over on Friday. 😊

Included the new and improved Zazzle masks that now have the metal nose piece and adjusters and some other brands.

Some have silver and others have the 0.03 micron  fabric that is used in the surgical and N95 masks .  Gives them a variety to choose from.

Inspector Mina, had to make sure I put them in the bag correctly. LOL

Just wish there was some way to get them more supplies, have also seen other Doctor's offices that need help with PPE.

All the Royalties for the sales of Face Masks, Fabric, shields, hand sanitizers are going towards buying the local Doctor's office much needed supplies.

So the more folks buy, the more I can help them.

PPE for the local Doctors offices.

I fitted one of the Zazzle masks with my Abstract Art on it..

No foggy glasses, super comfy, fits correctly and it has a pocket to put a filter in. Will keep this one with me any time I go to a Doctors appointment, as I like to keep 2 with me at all times.

The Zazzle mask below was before they added their own
nose band and ear adjuster.

Offering Face Masks

I have been feeling helpless with everything that has been going on, want to do something but know the best thing for me and others is to stay home.

One day I looked on Zazzle and saw they were offering
face masks.
It might be a tiny drop in the bucket but it is something I can do.

Will be adding more daily.

What ever royalties I get for the Face Masks, will go toward me buying face masks for the local Doctor's office.

The CASE Act ~ Good thing for Artists

As most of my friends and family know, I have all but stopped offering New works of Art in my Online art Galleries because the theft of my Art is rampant,
specially my Icelandic Horse paintings.

Having my Art Registered through the
US Copy Right office,
does not seem to have much meaning.

But the CASE act, will give us more power.

Painting Again ~

Oh my Goosh, I am getting frustrated with myself.
This Double vision is beyond annoying and making it
really hard to paint.
Pulse spike to 121, NIF dropped to -32 just sitting there.
Which to me is very weird, as I zone out when I am painting, is why it makes such great therapy.

Need to talk with the Eye Doc again to see about getting
another pair of glasses.

Trying to Block the painting of Dyfra this morning.
Already see mistakes I would of never made in the past.

But it was good to paint for awhile.

Starting to Paint again ~

Since I am on Hold for Spinning yarn....
Decided to finally start working on one of the black canvass.

Have some new acrylic paints, so will be a bit of a learning curve.  They do not dry as fast as other Acrylics, which is nice.

Just did the back ground at this point, as that is all I am up to doing at this moment.
Maybe 20 minutes, there abouts.

Is seriously nice to have paint on fingers, shirt....basically all over the place again !

I know I said." I wasn't going to do any more Icelandic Horse paintings because of past and current issues"
but I might do one of Dyfra and after, one of Maggie.
Miss them both a lot.
Not really motivated to do anything else.

Hence the Dark background, matches both my mood and shows off white horses....
OK... most know the shades of grey Dyfra loved to add... but with the magic of paint....  POOF she is a clean white.  LOL..

 Painting is very therapeutic.

Sketch I did of the photo I took of Dyfra, with
my Cannon camera.

The lovely shades of Forest dirt.

Happy are the Painters ~

Not sure if Mr Churchill said that, but I do like the quote.
