Begird ~ Abstract

I have taken my love of things round and continued with my circles and reflections, to design this fanciful Fractal digital Abstract painting.
And as always.. I use my own Mathematical algorithms using AP3 and Gimp.

Icelandic Horse painting WIP ~5

I finished the wee Island with the grass on it, started with the rocks and moss just in front of that.

Have the first basic wash of color for the dirt, moss and rocks that are around the Icelandic horse on the right hand side of the painting. Much more detail to do.

Peace on Earth ~ NW Oregon woodland

My DH and I took a walk in our small but very beautiful woodlands on our old NW Oregon Farm. It was a cool morning with the clouds just coming over the hills in the distance. I love to be in the woods, one can hear the birds, the winds blowing in the trees, it is heaven not to hear man made things.
I have decided to share parts of our peace on earth, with a small collection of photographs.
Photo taken with my Evolt 510 camera.

Icelandic Horse painting WIP ~ 4

Very close to finishing the mountains on the right of the painting. Starting on some of the inlet water and the small out croppings in the mid picture. At this point the painting is all watercolor.

Just need to do a few touch ups on the sky and clouds.
Started with the first and second wash of color on the mountains in the background. You can easily see the differences in each application of color.
Snow covered mountains in the far left of the picture are pretty much finished. Also started working on the bright blue water on the left of the painting.

A Close up of what I have done so far. The background is an composite of many photographs I have taken of the Puget Sound in WA.

I am about 50% done with the sky and clouds. I am making the sky color quite bright because my Scanner has a hard time picking up on the pale blue colors.
This painting is going to take awhile, so the WIP updates will take longer for me to post.
