Spinning some Brecknock Hill blend yarn

In between painting and working on my Art Shops, I hand spin wool into 2 ply yarn.
Here you can see that I am spinning a single , that will later become a 2 ply yarn.
This is the last of my Brecknock Hill fleece, blended with Llama to make it a much more soft yarn.
Takes me about two months to make 2 skeins of 2 ply yarn.

Phenomenon

Two digital programs brings this pearl like Abstract to life, to become a once in a life time phenomenon.

Phantom WIP 5

Working on the Phantom this morning, adding another layer of color to the nose, working on the side of the engines with the first layer of color and the underside of this fighter.
Added ink to the tiny looking tail and rudder.
Is hard to see the depth of color I am starting to get, or the true color of this piece for that matter.
Need to find a way to get better lighting into my Studio room for taking photos.

Beautiful Sunset

Another beautiful Sunset we had here on our Oregon Farm, lots of changing colors, so I had to take a couple of photographs.
The one above reminds me a of a bubbly sea.

This one is dark, brooding and mystical.

Added many new things to my Etsy store

I have added some excellent quality cards printed by Greeting card Universe to my Etsy store.

The print and tonal quality is outstanding.

The photograph color isn't the best though, the cards are much better in person.

This wrap around Mug has a large handle that’s easy to hold and is a 11oz size.
Dishwasher and microwave safe. Makes a great gift!

Hand picked for quality.

This painting is of an Pintailed Duck found in Oregon’s waters. Mediums I used is watercolor pencil used like traditional watercolor and Pen & Ink on 140lb hot press paper. Here it is offered as useful Fine Art.

Urban Jungle
It is finally completed and is based on a photograph I took of Mia. Mia is our Tabby cat we brought home from the local shelter. She makes a great model. Urban Jungle is painted using Ink and watercolor pencil wash on my favorite Hot press Fabriano Artistico Bright White Watercolor paper. My paintings take a long time to complete because of the level of detail and painted in my studio on my NW Oregon Farm.

~~Handspun!!~~
Each Skein or Ball of yarn varies slightly in its thickness, this is due to the unique nature of Hanspun Yarn.
All the yarn is spun on my Majacraft Saxonie spinning wheel.

British Top 2 ply yarn in Medium dark Blue with 35% tussah silk colors of blue, purple, pink and green, this is a luxury blend. Medium soft, nice luster, suited for sweaters, hats, gloves, socks and what ever your hearts desire!
This skein is of a varying thickness, from fingerling to almost a sport weight yarn.

This skein is 0.167kg or 5.89 oz's

I have two skeins of this color available.

Phantom 3 WIP

Is lightly snowing this morning, so I decided it was a good time to work on my painting. Normally I get more of the under color done before I work on the Ink but I was impatient, so spent quite awhile working with it.
After I was done with that, I applied the first layer of color to the underside front of the Aircraft.

This photo looks kind'a funny because I took the picture upside down. But you can see I have added little more shading to the underside of the Navy Phantoms nose, on the canopy and intake.

I am offering Fine Prints at Image Kind.

Phantom 2 WIP

After the last little set back a few months ago, I decided to pencil in another Navy Phantom and start painting. This will be another Watercolor pencil with Ink, like many of my paintings are.

Still not sure about the other side of the fighter, as there were people in the way when I took photos of it. So hopefully someone can help me out with that little issue. But until then, will paint what I do know of the plane.
This piece will be added to my collection of what I call. "In your Face" Military aircraft. Just a slightly different angle and view than you would normally see in Aircraft paintings.

Here you can see my basic pencil work, to make sure I keep things in prospective and the first layer of under color.
