Icelandic Horse Pen and Charcoal

I was originally working on a Phantom Navy jet but sadly... Mia lost one of the mice she brought into the house and before I could find it.. would you believe it found a way onto my Artist desk and peed all over it. Sigh ~~ So I just tossed it.
Have been meaning to start another one but after that... has taken me awhile to take a chance on another.
Am pretty sure there are no more mice running around the house.

So this one will be a Ink and Charcoal Icelandic Tolting horse based on a photograph Maike has very kindly allowed me to use. Thank you Maike!!
Above you can see the very rough pencil in and just a bit of ink on the mane.

Have just started on this Icelandic's face. Am planning on going slow on this piece as I feel a bit rusty.
Not sure if I will get this one done in time for Christmas but I will try.

The Viking ~ Abstract

This creation, looked like a Viking standing there waiting for a battle to start. Is one of the few pieces I was at a loss to what to call it, hence its title.

Can see a close up of the detail in this Digital Abstract painting.

Cafe Press Christmas card review

This year I decided to use Cafe Press for my Christmas cards. Am very impressed with the print quality, how nice and thick the card stock is and they come in this handy plastic container.

Yes, Family and friends, this year you will be receiving.. Holiday Herald! ;O)

Tholian Web Abstract

The first Abstract I have been able to do for awhile. During the summer it my computer gets to hot to spend the many hours doing a Rendering, so I have to take a break.
Now that it is winter and much cooler out, let the creating resume!
I am calling this one, The Tholian Web..... because it kind of reminds me of a certain episode on a Show.

Spent a November Evening taking photos

A beautifully soft Rainbow Cloud. This is the only place I have lived in the US, where I have seen many rainbow clouds.

Cafe Press Sweat Long term shirt review

In 2007 I bought 3 Cafe Press heavy duty Hanes sweat shirts, as a product testing and trial run.

First two years I washed them as recommend on the tags, and wearing one every day for Farm chores such as taking care of horse's, gardening or fixing fence, the sweat shirt's printing, fabric and elastic cuffs still look like new.

From the end of 2009 to now.. I decided to abuse them in the Wash too, using super hot water in a heavy duty wash cycle.
The main body of the fabric is holding up well, as it the print job...which kind of surprised me but in a good way. However, the Elastic around the neck and cuff's are starting to get stretched.

Is again surprising how well these Cafe Press sweat shirts have held up to daily abuse and very please with the quality, and those that know me, know I don't say that lightly.

These Sweat shirts are excellent quality, nice and thick, which I love.

I have just ordered another couple of sweat shirts to make sure the quality is still high.

Farm Cat ~ Maine Coon Photographs

I noticed I have been remiss at posting some of my Art on the Blog. This is Nari, our outside Main Coon mouser extraordinaire .

She was enjoying the warm summer day on the old Farm tractor, while watching the Hummingbirds zoom around.

The Photographs were taken with my Evolt 510 camera.

First Set of Decoupage Glass earrings and Necklace are done

This is the only set that came out the way I wanted it too. Used the head shot of my painting the Urban Jungle.

Now here is for the bad part, I have since found out I have a bad allergy to nickel. That means the findings I was going to use, isn't possible as they have nickel in them.

Have found a source of nice Nickel free Earring hooks, Thanks to Yvonne. ;O)

Now I have to find some Nickel free Earring and Necklace Bails.
Then decide if I am going to offer the Necklaces on Silk cord or?

If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know.

Glass Earrings, Necklaces and Magnets ~

I have decided to try my hand at making... well, handmade Earrings, Necklaces and Magnets. They are made from handmade Glass, bought from another Artist and I decoupage my Art onto them to make unique and fun pieces of wearable Art.

I print out my Art....
Right now I am working on the Urban Jungle painting, Herald the catnip loving Cat. Soon... with a little more tweaking, will have some Icelandic horse Glass Earrings and so on.

Decoupage onto the Glass.... here they are about half way done. Pretty time consuming but fun. Most likely another 3 days before I can offer them for sale at my Esty Store.

They will not be waterproof, so I would not recommend wearing them in the shower or in the rain.
Will post photos of the finished pieces soon.

If you want some Earrings and or a matching Necklace specially made, please let me know. Will be more than happy to do so.

Navy Phantom

Have started another painting, well sort of. Was going to paint a Navy Phantom but realized after I penciled most of it in... I did not have one of my photo's that would help me draw in the far side of the wings and missiles.
So for now, I guess I need to work on something else. Do not know the fighter well enough to fudge it.
Or maybe get some of it painted and if someone happens to have a photo of one in flight that would let me look at the wings and missiles or at an angle I can see them clearly.. would be grateful.
I like to do what I call,, in your face type angles, like you have seen with my other Military fighters.
This is what I get for jumping the gun and not looking at all the photos I took closely.
Ah Well..

I do have a normal plain side shot.. might work on that one.
